so this is what our walk consisted of

wherein we argued about how well horses could climb stairs

 

and were just walkin around

 

then we got artsy, as usual

and we found this amazing tree

 

where Audrey was at first quite uncomfortable

 

but then became a model

 

and then we found this fence

 

and of course decided to go in

 

 

and Audrey became a supermodel

 

 

I took this, I might add, while lying on the ground, because I really wanted the sassy leaf in the photo

and then we got silly again. although I have to say I really like the quality of this one

I honestly really love this picture. just the focus and the background and everything. its so simple.

this is another one I really love. it seems so natural. the facial expression, the showing of the hand, the phone in the other hand. its just really neat

 

we circled back over to the river

 

 

after the river we hopped on a bus and went down a couple stops, got off, bought some candy and a mango, continued on to the plaza mayor, then back to sol, where we took the metro home.

 

i really loved today. just going on a walk with a great friend, being weird, being artsy and taking photos, something I love to do, and just having a great time. talking and laughing. telling stories. walking around not caring where you're going or if you get lost because being found is just a bus ride away. you go where you want, when you want, and if you want to stop and do something, you do it. its so simple, yet I feel like it's one of my favorite parts of being here.

recently moved

so its been a while since I've posted about what I've been doing, so here we go.

a couple weekends ago, a few of us exchange students got together and went to madrids Teleferico. basically a cable car. and that went over casa de campo and the river manzanares, and over to where the zoo and amusement park are. so we got on and went over and walked around and didn't really do anything but we all caught up on our lives and it was really fun.

okay, so that was the cable car. also, I just moved 2 days ago to my new house. my new family is awesome and its going super well here. I have one brother whos 18 named carlos, and a sister clara whos 24 and she lives on her own, but I met her and she'll be coming over once and a while. but theyre all really nice and fun. I was taking pictures of the house for this blawg and my mom had been given some roses, so my photography side came out and I actually got some pretty good photos. here you are, my friends

so overall i am extremely happy. im in the center of Madrid, I've got a great family, and all is going well. aaaaand this family loves Chinese food, so we've already gone to one chino, and I see more in the future. im pretty excited. so that's been me lately.
